Guidelines are Goals - Guidelines are behaviors to strive for, and repeatedly breaking a guideline or breaking multiple guidelines may result in expulsion and/or a ban without a refund!

RULES

• Sober Consent: Ensure all agreements regarding shared activities and intimacy are made while everyone involved is in an unaltered state.
   

• Revocable Consent: Consent is ongoing and can be retracted at any time, regardless of prior agreements.
   

• Fire Safety: Main fire is managed exclusively by Fire Lord Fish Tank, do not touch, adjust, or throw anything into the fire without express permission.
   

• Safety Crew Sobriety: Alcohol and substance use are strictly prohibited while working a Safety Crew shift.
   

• No Firearms: Firearms of any kind are prohibited.
   

• Leave No Trace: Trash services are not provided. All belongings and any trash must leave with you.
   

GUIDELINES​

• Safety Tent Etiquette: The Safety Tent must be a quiet and accessible space. Alcohol and substance use are prohibited inside or around this area.
   

• Performance Art Expectations: Fire spinning and live steel are permitted at the encampment with proof of insurance. (Show proof when checking in.) All other weapons must remain peacetied while on the property.
   

• Holistic Consent: Remain mindful and receptive of others' physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual boundaries. Always form clear agreements before taking actions that will affect someone else.
   

• Active Consent: Check in continuously with others to maintain a collaborative and comfortable environment for all. Cease any behaviors or activities if others express discomfort.
   

• Self-Responsibility: Communicate your own boundaries and concerns honestly, openly, and clearly to the best of your ability. Use the safety resources provided!
   

• Inclusion: Jarl's Campout is inclusive of all races, colors, ethnicities, genders, orientations, ages, nationalities, and identities. There is a zero zero-tolerance policy for hate speech, hate symbols, discrimination, harassment, or supremacist ideology in any form. This includes, but is not limited to, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, religious discrimination, or targeted hostility in any form. Violations will result in expulsion and/or a ban without a refund.
   

REPORTING AND OTHER POLICIES

Reporting Broken Rules/Guidelines or Other: Please reach out to the Safety Crew members on shift or contact Jarl Alga at katarinaelainem@gmail.com with any complaints or allegations.
 

Timely Reporting: To ensure a response, concerns must be brought to our attention during the VikingFest weekend.
 

Medical Emergency: By registering for Jarl's campout, you permit the owner, organizers, and Safety Crew members to seek medical care for you in the event of an emergency and agree to pay for all medical costs.
 

Release of Liability: By registering for Jarl's Campout you release, waive, and discharge the owners, organizers, staff, volunteers, and agents of Jarl's Campout from all liability. This includes claims for personal injury, property damage, wrongful death, or theft. This applies whether caused by active or passive negligence or otherwise.
 

Indemnification: By registering for Jarl's Campout you agree to hold harmless and indemnify the event owners, organizers, staff and volunteers. This means that you will cover any legal fees or costs if a lawsuit arises.
